85 scholars representing eight Compton Unified schools took part in the Drones4Kids Aerial Drone Competition at Troy High School in Fullerton last Saturday, with a combined Clinton-Whaley team taking first place overall.

Several outstanding scholars from Davis, Enterprise, Willowbrook, and Walton Middle Schools recently received LA Clippers tickets for them and their families, thanks to the CARES Mentoring Program and the CUSD Department of Black Student Achievement, in partnership with the LA Clippers.

Meet Tyjahnae Hodge, Compton High School Class of 2024 graduate. She is planning on going to Woodbury University in Burbank in the fall and majoring in Animation.
Meet Isis Cadena-Nunez, Compton Early College High School Class of 2024 graduate. She will be going to U.C. Santa Cruz in the fall, double majoring in Marine Biology and Environmental Science.
